On Saturday June 11, Stand Leaders from all across the state met to celebrate this year’s legislative successes for kids and look toward the future.  We recognized Standout Stand Leaders: Lori Goodrich (Tacoma), Sarah Powers (Bellevue), Brooke Beresch(Seattle),  Betsy Cohen (Issaquah), Lindy Cater (Spokane), Brooke Valentine (Kent) and this year’s Rookie of the Year – Ofelia Arnove(Seattle).

The majority of the day was dedicated to member education on a variety of issues including P-3 education, useful data systems, teaching effectiveness, and public charter school basics.  Leaders had an opportunity to provide feedback on the past year’s legislative session, policy, and tactics and weigh in on upcoming issues, events, and initiatives.  Stay tuned for member education topics and opportunities throughout the summer.
